Other than setting goals for the new year to come, I also love reminiscing what happened in my year. 2017 has truly been an eventful year for me and Johnrick. We were able to work on some of our goals and actually made it happen. I did my first solo travel in Asia (which is how I realized solo travel isn’t for me), first time traveling with girlfriends out of the country, landed my first brand sponsorship, etc. So here’s how my year looked like:
JANUARY
Spent time with cousins visiting from Australia
FEBRUARY
Probably the best thing that happened to my year was welcoming this cutie in our lives
Luna: two months old
MARCH
Went to Las Vegas to see Backstreet Boys, Alex Aiono and William Singe perform live! Best fangirl moment!
APRIL
We always travel far but we decided to explore our own by going to Lands End and the Golden Gate Bridge
MAY – JUNE
This month brought me to Colorado, back in NYC, and our honeymoon where we went to South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe

JULY
Our first time going to SoCal without going to Disneyland. Instead, we went around LA to see famous tourist spots, ate too many foods and ice cream, and visited the Museum of Ice Cream which is why we went in the first place
AUGUST
Another backyard exploration in Point Reyes National Seashore. I also met my two high school best friends in Hanoi and we took a cruise to Ha Long Bay. After Hanoi was Bangkok and this city left me in awe with its awesome architecture and foods!

SEPTEMBER
Our first time going to Yosemite and we hiked the Half Dome
OCTOBER – NOVEMBER
Went back to the Philippines and decided to just stay in the country to explore it more. We went to El Nido, did canyoneering in Badian, waterfalls-hopping in Cebu and experienced Siargao.

DECEMBER
Finally checked Machu Picchu off my bucket list. We also went to Ecuador and loved our hotel inside the amazon rainforest.

It was an amazing year! I don’t know how 2018 will top it but I am excited for all the new goals that we are setting. I am looking forward to making more magic with brands, checking off more bucket list items, and meeting new friends along the journey. Johnrick and I are also working on something exciting and I cannot wait to share it!
