Zhangjiajie National Forest Park has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember. So when I found out that Tina of @roamingtina and her husband, Nick, are going to China, we couldn’t help but invite ourselves to their trip.
Before the trip, I researched things to do in Zhangjiajie as well as the best places to stay at in terms of location and prices, and found Pullman Hotels Zhangjiajie. Just 10-15 minutes walk and you will find yourself at the entrance of the national park. How awesome is that? I really think it was worth it since we liked going to the park early. We were able to sleep in a little bit since we didn’t have to travel far.
We arrived late at night and they were able to reserve a taxi to pick us up at the airport, which was very convenient because sometimes taxi drivers try to overcharge you. You can also choose your ride. Here’s the breakdown of the prices for single trips:
Audi A6 – RMB450
Buick BPV, 6 seater – RMB600
Taxi- RMB260
After a speedy check in, we were escorted to our room and we were ready to call it a night for an amazing day ahead.
My favorite thing about our room is that it has a view of the pool. I would wake up early and have my cup of hot tea while breathing in the fresh air of Zhangjiajie from our balcony.
When we were not exploring the National Park, we were exploring around the hotel or lounging in their beautiful lobby.
We had the pleasure of trying their afternoon tea and boy was it filling! It was nicely prepared and all the foods were so good! I recommend giving it a try if you have time to spare in the hotel.
If you are looking for a more quiet environment, the hotel has a smalll zen area and little forest in the back.
Overall, we loved our stay at Pullman Zhangjiajie. Its close proximity to the national park and the city made a huge change. Nothing beats our every day breakfast of very good Chinese foods. The staff are all so nice and helpful. If you are planning a trip to Zhangjiajie to see the Avatar Mountains, this is the best accommodation that you can find in the area.
*Thanks to Pullman Hotels Zhangjiajie for hosting our stay. As always, all opinions are my own.
