KOJA KITCHEN

My favorite food truck now has a store in San Jose!! This makes me so happy and right after finding out about it, and without thinking how crowded it can be (on a weekend too!), my fiancé and I went to check it out. Sure enough there was a long line when we got there at 11:30 AM, to think that the store opens at 11 AM. I’m sure it’s also the hype. But I love it when stores live up to it!

KoJa (aka Korean-Japanese) is a special gourmet sandwich infused with a unique combination of Korean & Japanese flavors. To step it up a notch, KoJa Kitchen substitutes the traditional wheat buns with freshly made crispy garlic rice buns.

SHORT RIB KOJA – korean bbq short rib (kalbi), sesame vinaigrette lettuce, katsu aioli, sesame seeds

BEEF KOJA – korean bbq beef, sautéed onions, sesame vinaigrette lettuce, pineapple, red sauce, sesame seeds

KAMIKAZE FRIES – crisscut waffle fries, minced korean bbq beef, kimchi, japanese mayo, red sauce, green onions

UMAMI FRIES – crisscut waffle fries, miso-coconut braised pork, red sauce, garlic aioli, fried shallots, masago, green onions
And their strawberry mango mint lemonade was very refreshing!
