That was Morocco for me. And I am so happy that I was able to experience its beauty with amazing friends. We started our journey in Marrakech where we were greeted with the bustling souk, vibrant colors and beautiful and intricately designed riads. It sure was a very busy city, so when we finally arrived in Chefchaouene, we were surprised how much difference there is between the two cities!
We hired a car and a driver from Marrakech to Chefchaouene. It was more or less seven hours of drive so we got our stuff ready and headed on our way. We arrived in Chefchaouene late at night and it was also raining so it was a bit challenging to find our riad. Right after checking in, we all passed out.
The next morning, we woke up early to get ready for a busy day ahead. We were only in Chefchaouene for a day and two nights so we decided to make the most of it. After eating breakfast, we went out to explore and find beautiful gems. I would say we found the perfect accommodation in Chefchaouene which we booked through Booking.com. We couldn’t be any happier that it’s close to the places that we wanted to check out. Even right outside the riad, we already found good spots to take photos at.
We spent the whole day going around the cute city, looking through stores and buying souvenirs, finding the cutest blue door, meeting locals, eating more tajines and drinking more mint teas.
We decided to hike to a view point to watch the sun set. It has a very breathtaking view so I highly recommend going here. It can get packed but there’s plenty of room for everyone.
If you have time to spare on your Morocco trip, Chefchaouene is not a city to be missed!
