Magnolia Bakery’s Banana Pudding Recipe

The first time I went to New York and had Magnolia’s banana pudding, I couldn’t forget how good it was. So the next few times that we went back, I made sure to have it each time. I am not even a big fan of bananas but this hits different. One time I was scrolling through TikTok and found a recipe and I knew I just have to make it. I am happy to share this with you all and if you’re highly visual just like me, I added some fun mini videos for reference.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 can condensed milk (14oz)
  • 1.5 cups ice cold water
  • 1 pack instant vanilla pudding mix (3.4 oz) *Jell-O brand recommended*
  • 3 cups heavy cream
  • Nilla wafers
  • bananas

LET’S START!

  1. Add condensed milk and ice cold water into a bowl and mix well.
  2. Slowly add instant vanilla pudding mix (make sure you don’t get the Cook & Serve kind).
  3. Mix well until consistency thickens and the mixture is smooth (about 3-5 minutes).
  4. Cover and refrigerate for four hours overnight to let the pudding set.
  5. Whip heavy cream for about 5 mins until you get stiff peaks.
  6. Get the set pudding in the fridge and slowly fold it in until there’s no more pudding streaks.
  7. Layer the cream, Nilla wafers and sliced bananas then repeat.
  8. Garnish with some bananas and crushed wafers.
  9. Let sit in the refrigerator for at least four hours before eating. Enjoy! 🙂

*Additional optional step but highly recommended:

  • Put in the freezer any leftovers and enjoy the best banana ice cream you’ll ever have!
Mix condensed milk and ice cold water
Add vanilla pudding mix and make sure you mix it well until it thickens. Cover then put in the refrigerator 4 hrs/overnight
Whip heavy cream until you get stiff peaks
Mix the set pudding in the fridge and fold it in slowly till it’s well mixed
Layer the cream, Nilla wafers and sliced bananas and repeat. Let sit in the fridge for at least four hours.
Serve in a cute glass!

ENJOY MY FRIENDS! 🙂
