The first time I went to New York and had Magnolia’s banana pudding, I couldn’t forget how good it was. So the next few times that we went back, I made sure to have it each time. I am not even a big fan of bananas but this hits different. One time I was scrolling through TikTok and found a recipe and I knew I just have to make it. I am happy to share this with you all and if you’re highly visual just like me, I added some fun mini videos for reference.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 can condensed milk (14oz)
- 1.5 cups ice cold water
- 1 pack instant vanilla pudding mix (3.4 oz) *Jell-O brand recommended*
- 3 cups heavy cream
- Nilla wafers
- bananas
LET’S START!
- Add condensed milk and ice cold water into a bowl and mix well.
- Slowly add instant vanilla pudding mix (make sure you don’t get the Cook & Serve kind).
- Mix well until consistency thickens and the mixture is smooth (about 3-5 minutes).
- Cover and refrigerate for four hours overnight to let the pudding set.
- Whip heavy cream for about 5 mins until you get stiff peaks.
- Get the set pudding in the fridge and slowly fold it in until there’s no more pudding streaks.
- Layer the cream, Nilla wafers and sliced bananas then repeat.
- Garnish with some bananas and crushed wafers.
- Let sit in the refrigerator for at least four hours before eating. Enjoy! 🙂
*Additional optional step but highly recommended:
- Put in the freezer any leftovers and enjoy the best banana ice cream you’ll ever have!
ENJOY MY FRIENDS! 🙂
